MCU fans slam Doctor Strange 3 teaser

MCU fans slam Doctor Strange 3 teaser

When will Strange return?

Marvel fans are hoping to see the return of Doctor Strange following a Multiverse of Madness tease, but when will it happen?

Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange aka Doctor Strange played by Benedict Cumberbatch made his MCU debut in 2016. Since that time, the good doctor has become a pivotal member of the MCU’s Avengers fighting the good fight against the forces of evil, such as Thano.

Now with Thanos in the rearview mirror, Doctor Strange is expected to return once more against the MCU’s newest threat, Doctor Doom who will be played by Robert Downey Jr., formerly Tony Stark aka Iron Man. Seriously, that casting swap is going to take some getting use to.

I am about to go into spoiler territory for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ post-credit scenes, so consider this your spoiler warning.

During the post-credit scenes of the Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange gets a third eye, a manifestation of the Eye of Agamotto. We are then introduced to Clea, a sorceress from the Dark Dimension played by Charlize Theron.

The post-credit scenes left fans desperate to see more of Doctor Strange and Clea teaming up, however, we’ve not seen or heard anything about the duo since, especially when it comes to the release of Doctor Strange 3. Now, not only are fans keen for a third movie but they feel let down by the two post-credit scenes.

“I like the horror imagery of Strange screaming as he's taken over by the third eye as the movie ends. It’s just anticlimactic to already show him at peace with it in the mid-credits,” exclaimed RagnarokWolves.

“The mid-credits scene infuriated me. The final shot of Strange with the third eye raises so many questions, and you could do a whole movie about Strange dealing with the ramifications of meddling with dark magic,” said DontSleepAlwaysDream.

They continued: “But nope, never mind that! We need a scene with the latest Blorko! So we see him treating the third eye like it's an edgy tattoo and any suspense is utterly undermined.”

“I thought it looked pretty dumb tbh, the CGI they used just doesn't cut it, some of the other CGI and editing they've done before looks great but this just looks so obviously fake and out of place,” GrayMech replied.

“Easily the worst set of post-credit scenes they've ever done,” nowhereright claims. “Sure we've gotten post-credit scenes that weren't brought up again or were questionable canon-wise, but to have two scenes back-to-back that directly contradict one another is frustrating.”

While we wait for Doctor Strange 3, we can watch both previous two movies right now on Disney Plus.
