It has been a while since an Avengers movie has hit the cinema, 2019 to be exact, but with the Avengers as we know and love them now part of Marvel’s rich history, it is time to make way for a brand-new batch of heroes.
With Avengers: Endgame hitting cinemas back in 2019 and bringing the end to the series, which first started with Avengers back in 2012, it was a bittersweet time for fans.
Check out the trailer for Avengers: Endgame below!
Our Avengers fought until the bitter end to defeat Thanos and despite us losing some of our heroes along the way, Marvel didn’t waste any time in thinking to the future.

That is why Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will be arriving in 2026 and 2027 respectively and bringing with it a whole new batch of superheroes (and some familiar faces).
With Robert Downey Jr. returning, not as Tony Stark but as Doctor Doom himself, it won’t be an entirely new roster.
However, according to some fans over on r/MCUTheories, there are some heroes they would like to see come together to form our brand new Avengers.
If it was up to Reddit user nostalgia_history, Earth’s mightiest superheroes would consist of Blade, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man and Mr. Fantastic.

More specifically, the heroes from the early 2000s.
“I really hope we get this team for Secret Wars,” they shared alongside an image of their dream line-up.
It is quite an eclectic bunch but it seems as though this user was not alone in their thoughts.
“Me too. The 2000s Marvel icons,” user Wooden_Passage_2612 added.

Reddituser6213 agreed, saying: “The people constantly shitting on the Multiverse just don’t get it. The Multiverse saga was made for this moment.”
However, TheHahndude thought differently and said, “If this is what people truly want then I guess I’d be happy for them but to me having an entire film following a bunch of old superhero movie characters around is so uninteresting.
I’d rather have all the newer MCU characters be the team. What more are you gonna get out of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man or Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider that would be more compelling than seeing these new fresh characters?”
With well over a year to go until Avengers: Doomsday hits cinemas, it remains to be seen who our mightiest heroes will be for the future of the MCU.
