MCU DC crossover movie leaves fans seriously divided

MCU DC crossover movie leaves fans seriously divided

We can dream, right?

Marvel and DC fans have been speculating whether we’ll get an MCU and DCU crossover one day but many are understandably sceptical.

Crossover events are always a huge deal whether it's video game brands such as Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter or pro wrestling with WWE and AEW. Sadly, the truth is, that such crossover events are just pipe dreams that will likely never come to fruition.

Check out the Superman trailer below!

That being said, comic books are no strangers to crossovers with the likes of Superman and Godzilla, Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Predator and Wolverine, and so much more.

However, fans have been dreaming big with the unlikely concept of the MCU and the DCU making wonderful movies together. But unlikely as that prospect seems, anything is possible, right?

“Will we ever see a Marvel vs DC movie crossover?” asked Redditor Wrong-Extension-9692.

“Say, five years from now both studios are releasing flop after flop at the box office,” they hypothetically continued. “Does a studio crossover reignite interest in both IPs?”

“I’m not sure I would even be interested in seeing it and we already know the plot,” winterborne1 replied. “A major villain screws up the time-space continuum to rule the multiverse and heroes from both universes collide, blaming each other, fighting for 10 minutes until they discover who’s really behind it, and then team up to restore order to the multiverse.”

“If you said 10 years ago we’d get Spider-Man swinging from Mjolnir while holding a fully loaded Infinity Gauntlet, or that Tobey, Andrew and Dafoe would reprise their roles in a quasi-Spider-Verse movie set in the MCU, you’d have been laughed out of the room. So while it seems unlikely, nothing is impossible,” said nerdystoner25.

“It will happen one day, WB and Disney seem to be collaborating a lot lately with the new sporting app and Disney/Hulu/Max bundle,” replied a hopeful Rudias87. “If this relationship keeps going then it will eventually end up in a DC/Marvel crossover.

I won't be holding my breath for an MCU and DCU crossover but then again, I never thought I’d ever see the day when Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson would have an epic on-screen fight.
