Any hope that we’d be holding onto that these deaths weren’t permanent has just been shattered.
Death isn’t always final in the MCU.
Marvel fans had believed that this was the case with the latest string of losses we’ve experienced in Agatha All Along.

The Witches' Road takes its toll on us all in Agatha All Along
Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the characters we’ve lost to the Witches’ Road are gone for good.
In an interview with Variety, showrunner Jac Schaeffer revealed why death is so unyielding in this new Disney series.

“Death is immutable. It is permanent. With this show, we wanted to pay respect to that. So this a more earnest and grave conversation about death than maybe you would find in another superhero project,” they explained.
The losses experienced in Agatha All Along have been emotionally difficult, but none quite so much as Lilia’s demise.
Although it wasn’t as shockingly unfair as Alice’s death, Lilia’s trial felt like such a monumental loss despite the peace she’d made with it.
Some fans wanted her to somehow return. However, as one viewer points out, this would “undermine” what the characters have gone through.

“Although I want them to come back, especially Lilia, I respect this decision. If they came back it will undermine their deaths and the heroism and sacrifices they made... we don’t want an Iron Man situation,” commented @friskycharm.
Others were quick to agree that an “Iron Man situation” would spoil the show.
“As much as this sucks, I honestly respect that. It properly honours the characters and their story. We don't need a whole Iron Man situation,” said @Snowcat9920.
It’s heartbreaking when we learn that no amount of wishing will bring back the characters we adore.

Still, it shows just how impressive and impactful Agatha All Along has been that it’s got such a hold on its audience.
