Marvel has killed off yet another beloved character in its Marvel Cinematic Universe, but fans aren’t too broken up about this one as it’s said to be a satisfying conclusion for once.

Death in the MCU is a funny thing, as it often throws a curveball at us and reveals the character never actually died, or was brought back to life, or restored through time travel, or sometimes they've brought back with the same face but as a different character entirely…

That said some characters are dead dead, like Steve Rogers’ Captain America and the title now belongs to Sam Wilson

Marvel’s latest Disney+ series Agatha All Along has been no stranger to killing off some of its characters, also be warned there are spoilers below for yesterday’s episode so if you’re not caught up, take heed.

After a wild episode that gives our heroes(?) fresh new looks, the end saw the character Lilia make the ultimate sacrifice by defeating the threat of the week at the cost of her own life. That said the episode ends before a body is shown, so take off that what you will.

While fans were sad to see the character go many have taken comfort in how her presumed death was handled, with one X user saying “THAT is how you let a character go with dignity.”

Other viewers agreed as well, with one saying “it’s so rare and they did it beautifully!” and another adding “I saw somebody say that her death was actually a rebirth into a complete life with no time gaps and that made me cry.”

Of course this is Marvel, so don’t count your eggs before they hatch just yet as there could be another twist on the way in the final few episodes, though that remains to be seen.
