Marvel fans lose it as MCU finally confirms shadowy villain we've theorised on for years

Okay it's happening, everybody stay calm

The MCU has finally confirmed the existence of a villain we’ve been waiting years for, fans can rest easy now.

If you’ve been watching Marvel's latest deep-dive into the supernatural, Agatha All Along, you’ll have probably been waiting with baited breath to learn who the show’s villain is.

Take a look at Agatha All Along below

Agatha herself was a villain not too long ago, after she infiltrated Wanda’s captive town of Westview and pushed her into becoming the Scarlet Witch.

While she’s still not exactly “good” she’s currently in the protagonist role as she embarks on a journey to reclaim her lost power, after being brought back to reality due to Wanda’s presumed death in Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness.

However eagle-eyed viewers have been keen to see who the true villain of the show will be, and while it’s still not obvious at the time of writing the latest episode gave us the biggest name-drop in MCU history.

During the episode there’s a discussion about Agatha’s son, who was believed to have been sacrificed by Agatha so she could obtain the Darkhold, the magic book Wanda used to boost her powers in Doctor Strange.

When discussing what could have happened to him, it was said that he could be "agent of Mephisto” confirming the supervillain does indeed exist in the MCU.

Mephisto is basically the Marvel equivalent of the devil, and in the comics he’s a spider sitting on a very large web, catching many heroes unfortunate enough to cross paths with him.

He’d make a killer Doctor Strange villain if that’s what the MCU has planned for him, but given the mention of his name in Agatha All Along it sounds like he could make his first appearance there, perhaps not as the main villain but at least a cameo.

Either way it’s a huge day for fans, who’ve been constantly theorising what his role could be in the MCU.
