A fan-favourite Marvel series has been quietly cancelled on Disney Plus and we’re heartbroken.

With so much content in the MCU, it can be difficult to digest everything that goes on in its marvellous world or at least, we might forget certain moments that transpired leading up to a new movie or TV series.

Check out the Marvel Studios: Legends trailer below!

This is why the Disney Plus series Marvel Studios: Legends is so important as it recaps pivotal moments from the MCU in short five to ten-minute episodes. So if you had forgotten about certain events that happened in a movie a few years ago, the chances are that Marvel Studios: Legends will have you covered.

Marvel Studios: Legends premiered on Disney Plus in December 2020 and since that time it has graced us with two seasons consisting of 46 episodes. Naturally, fans were looking forward to season three, especially with the likes of Captain America: New World Order and Fantastic Four: First Steps on the horizon.

Sadly, however, the Marvel Studios: Legends series may have been quietly cancelled on Disney Plus and fans are gutted. Yet, it’s worth keeping in mind that neither Disney nor Marvel has announced its cancellation but the fact that there has been no news on season three, it’s not looking good.

“Has Marvel Studios: Legends been discontinued?” asked Redditor mikev431.

“I hope not. I really love this series. It’s useful and also the recaps are genuinely good,” replied mykl55. “I sort of feel like MCU has given up on Disney Plus extras,” said Torvus_742. “I hope I'm wrong.”

“I hope not, it’s a genius quick fix for when you want to revisit a moment in the franchise,” exclaimed Important-Parsley-60.

The wishful thinking part of me hopes that Marvel Studios: Legends will return once the MCU movies start rolling in again, especially as its cancellation hasn't been officially announced. Only time will tell.

In the meantime, we can enjoy the latest mini-series available to stream now on Disney Plus, the WandaVision sequel, Agatha All Along.
