There’s always a risk that a sequel will be cancelled, but when it ends with such a big cliffhanger, its unanswered questions eat away at us.
Marvel quietly killing off projects appears to be a theme, of late.
Not only are fans convinced that the new Blade series has been axed, they’re having to come to terms with no seconding outing for the Eternals.

Maybe this isn’t all that surprising given how mixed its reception from fans and critics was.
It's all we're gonna get now, so we might as well watch the Eternals final trailer
After all, it only achieved $402 million at the box office, which by Marvel standards is a failure.

Still, the teaser at the end of the first film that a sequel was coming has left everything too open-ended.
It’s a messy conclusion without a satisfying end.
The news comes after a GQ interview with Kit Harington attempted to learn of the actor’s fate within Marvel’s tumultuous plans.
Although he only played a small part in the Eternals, that character was linked to the Blade revival that may never happen.

Overall, Harington’s Marvel experience hasn’t exactly panned out.
But maybe we don’t need an Eternals sequel to answer the questions its cliffhanger left – that’s the theory fans are running with, anyway.
Redditor replayer explained, “Well, we know the ending of Eternals is tied to a major plot in Brave New World.”
It isn’t the follow-up we expected, however, it should provide us with a way to make sense of what the Eternals hinted at.

It might not, too, but we’d rather not think about that.
Whatever comes next, it’ll likely to divide the fandom as much as the new Wolverine has; such is the nature of the beast.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we need time to process yet another Marvel loss... They’re really piling up now.
