We all have our favourite Spider-Man and although this may cause a bit of uproar, Andrew Garfield is mine and for those that agree, there is some sad news.
Becoming the web-slinger in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2012 and 2014 respectively, we saw Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker more recently in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Returning alongside Tobey Maguire to team up with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, his cameo kicked off rumours that Garfield may be returning for another The Amazing Spider-Man entry.
However, according to recent comments by the man himself, the rumours are far from true.
Speaking to IndieWire at the premiere of his latest movie, We Live in Time, Garfield was questioned about his potential return to the role of Peter Parker.
However, he claims that fans have been duped over a potential Spider-Man 4 and remains adamant that he is not making a return anytime soon.

That being said, although he did deny rumours of returning as the titular character, he has not shut down the reports that he and Maguire may return once more to help out Holland in the next MCU entry.
Not only that but Garfield is no stranger to lying when it comes to his film roles.
That being said, he took the time to calm down hyped fans.
"I mean, like the internet is a big place. I think there's a lot of people who will just say anything to get clicks," Garfield explained.

"So you might have been duped, I'm afraid."
With the end events of No Way Home leaving the door open for Garfield’s Spider-Man, anything is possible and fans would definitely be happy to see his return.
Let us hope he is putting his acting skills to use by lying to us yet again.
