Somehow, without even trying, the brand-new trailer for Thor: Love And Thunder has managed to generate even more Chris Pratt backlash.
Pratt, who plays Star Lord in the MCU and has also landed staring roles in the upcoming Mario and Garfield, is a divisive figure these days. Back in 2020, he earned the dubious honour of the internet's "least favourite Chris" when compared to peers such as Chris Evans, Hemsworth, and Pine.
Pratt will of course return as Star Lord alongside Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Love And Thunder. You can take a look at the two Chrises (Chrisi?) together below.
The biggest point of contention for many of Pratt's critics is that he's a member of the allegedly anti LGBTQ+ Zoe Church.

A number of stars, most notably Elliot Page, have slammed Zoe Church for its exclusionary views in the past. While Pratt has never publicly made any anti LGBTQ+ comments and insists that his church is not a hateful one, the actor's very involvement with the group is enough for many to question his stance.
It's with this in mind that many started to make the same joke about Pratt immediately after viewing the Thor: Love And Thunder trailer.
After many pointed out that the scenes between Thor and Star Lord in the trailer would doubtless lead to plenty of fanfiction placing the characters in a sexual relationship, others poked fun at the imagined notion of Pratt's distaste and discomfort at the idea.

Thor: Love And Thunder arrives in cinemas July 8, 2022. If you are expecting Thor and Star Lord to kiss, I probably wouldn't hold your breath.
