The Witcher 3 is hiding a secret ending to one of its quests, and we’re shocked we haven’t seen it before.
You could argue that The Witcher 3 is one of the most replayable games of all time. Take a look at Henry Cavill for instance. He loves the game so much he’s beaten it time and time again, always picking Yennefer as Geralt’s endgame love interest too.
Check out the trailer for the The Witcher 3 below.
It’s that replayability that makes it incredibly fun to see what details you missed on your last playthrough, though one player recently discovered they’d missed an entire alternate ending to one of the quests.

Speaking on Reddit, user Idarak shared an experience of one of Triss’ quests, and how you can change the ending depending on choices made.
They said, “Today I learned you can save Triss' friend from the Vegelbud party from being burned by witch hunters outside Novigrad's Glory Gate after the mage purges begin.”
The player went on to explain that you can “even get a cutscene if you decide to intervene unprompted and attack the guards. Love how many little events like this exist, but this one isn't even mentioned in the strategy guide, which is where I get most of my game knowledge from!”
Admittedly that’s pretty wild, for one thing that there’s a cutscene to reward your heroism and the fact it’s not covered in some game guides.

The Witcher 3 actually has a few of these alternate paths if you know where to look, and if you’re playing on PC via Steam you can even unlock some unfinished story moments that CD Projekt Red cut from the final game.
Years after it launched, The Witcher 3 continues to impress us, so who knows what the developers are cooking up for The Witcher 4 to top it.
