As is the norm for when a sequel is finally announced, fans like to return to the most recent entry and in this case, it is of course The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
First released in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has already become a modern-day classic and rightly so thanks to its intriguing story, fun combat and lore-filled world.
Now with fans picking the CDPR title up once more, new discoveries are being uncovered including one that seems to be a nod to Henry Cavill himself.
Taking on the role of Geralt of Rivia in the first three seasons of Netflix’s The Witcher, Cavill has never shied away from the fact that he is also a gamer at heart so this nod to the actor is a heartwarming one indeed.

Spotted by MonTyasek over on r/Witcher3, returning to the Devil’s Pit in The Witcher 3 will see you stumble across a dog named Kal who just happens to be a reference to Cavill’s dog with the same name.
Looking like the spitting image of his real-life counterpart, Kal can be found after completing the Netflix adaptation inspired quest, The Eternal Fire’s Shadow.
If you manage to keep the priest alive and then return to the area at a later date, you will find Kal.
However, if for some reason the priest dies, Devil’s Pit will just become a spawning ground for ghouls.

This is a heartwarming nod from CDPR to Cavill and an Easter egg that the actor himself no doubt appreciates.
