The Sims and The Sims 2 are old enough to the point that playing them on modern hardware isn’t as simple as installing them and hitting play.
They are, however, easily the most beloved entries in the series, which is why fans are clamouring for a remake that would make playing them a little bit more straightforward.
The most recent hint that a remake could be on its way comes in the form of an exclusive clothing line that dropped at the Polish retailer Cropp, featuring some of the classic promotional artwork from The Sims 2.
Fans of life sims may want to keep an eye on Tales of The Shire.
Naturally, fans took this to mean that a remake of the game is all but confirmed.

“Okay I’m sorry but there’s no way TS2 isn’t coming back. Call me delusional but I’m so ready,” commented user @yegorsmh.
“I hope it comes because Sims 4 is trash unlike this masterpiece!” replied user @WarriYah7.
Now, before you think they might be jumping to conclusions here… there is a little bit more to it.
The Sims franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary next month on 4 February, and EA has been dropping a couple of hints that some kind of announcement is inbound.

Whether or not that ends up being The Sims 5, some new DLC, or a remake of the game is still up the air, but at least the fanbase won’t have long to wait until they know for sure.
