Very good news for fans of The Last of Us - the show’s fifth episode will be airing two days earlier than usual, so there’s even less time to wait to see what happens next.
Episode four of The Last of Us aired last night, and I’ll be honest with you, dear reader, as a UK viewer who wasn’t willing to stay up until 1AM, I have absolutely no idea what happened in it. Rest assured, you’ll get no spoilers in this article, because I don’t even have any to dish out. What I do know, however, is that the moment I see the credits roll, I’m immediately going to want to watch the next episode, so it’s a relief to know that the wait for episode five has been cut down significantly.
Take a look at the trailer for The Last of Us below.
As ComicBook reports, in the U.S., episode five will air on HBO Max on Friday 10 February, due to its usual Sunday slot clashing with the Super Bowl. What a win! At the time of writing, it’s not been confirmed if it’ll air early in other countries, too, but it’d be rather rude not to - especially since spoilers will flood the internet as soon as it’s out.
Advert
If you’re yet to dive into the series, you’ll be pleased to know that the first episode is totally free to watch on YouTube. A word of warning: once you do take the plunge, you’re almost certainly going to be hooked on it, but it’s arguably the best video game adaptation of all time, so why miss out?
Don’t get too comfortable with the early episodes, though - again, episode five is only airing when it is to avoid being shown at the same time as the Super Bowl. As ComicBook points out, the series finale is currently set to air on the same day as 95th Academy Awards, so hopefully we could get that one a little early, too. That’s not been confirmed at the time of writing, however.
