It is hard to believe that we are approaching the seven-year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls VI being announced.
The reason it is hard to believe is that, since The Elder Scrolls VI’s announcement during 2018’s E3, Bethesda has remained radio silent when it comes to its development.

Offering fans a measly teaser trailer during its announcement has been all that they have received and so it is no wonder that many are worried that the project may never happen at all.

Not only that but a recent bit of arithmetic by one Reddit user has revealed a startling discovery about the history (and future) of The Elder Scrolls series.
“The gap between Daggerfall and Skyrim will be as big as the gap between TESV and TESVI,” the user posted to r/TESVI.
“This assumes a 2026 release…
The trailer coming out in 2018 probably didn't help in this regard.

Regardless of what happens, they may need to consider more partnerships with other game studios to release more single player TES spinoff games like they did with Obsidian and New Vegas.”
It was not long before fellow fans came to express their own thoughts about the lack of news surrounding TES VI and the comments were soon flooded.
User TheAviator27 wrote, “Yeah, this s**t needs to come faster in the future.
They can't juggle 3 IPs and expect people to be happy waiting decades to get back to their favourite.”

This is of course referring to the fact that Bethesda is also working on development for Fallout 5.
“Feel for younger fans. They will never know how good that 2002-2011 period was,” another user lamented.
It remains to be seen when we will receive The Elder Scrolls VI but with fans getting more and more frustrated, an update could not come soon enough.
