The Elder Scrolls VI is going to be worth the wait everyone; we just need to hold on a little bit longer.

I hate all the waiting just as much as you do, but that first teaser trailer for the game debuted in 2018 so we must be close to a gameplay reveal by now, right?

I’m sure you don’t need a refresher on that teaser trailer, but here it is below.

There’s been a lot of reporting on when a reveal could happen and, of course, when it might launch on PC and console platforms, and paired with that is a lot of disdain from fans on how long it’s all taken.

Let’s cast our minds back for a second though to five years ago when Todd Howard gave an interview on all things Bethesda, including the Elder Scrolls VI, with IGN.

After joking that he thinks “everyone should be very patient” with development on the game, he eventually says something very interesting when asked about the long wait time.

“I think when they eventually see the game and what we have in mind, they’ll understand the gap more in terms of technology and what we wanted to do," Todd explained.

This isn’t just The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim again, it’s a brand-new game with brand-new ideas and brand-new technology to make it happen.

I’d imagine there’s been a lot of experimenting to find new and creative ways to see the next Elder Scrolls game be different to what we’ve had before, and that’s definitely a good thing.

While it’s increasingly frustrating to not have any updates to share, one is surely due very soon, at least sometime this year.

After that, it’ll be a countdown to launch day.

Again, it’ll be frustrating but given the scope and scale we’re expecting from this upcoming RPG, it’s bound to be worth the wait, hopefully anyway.
