It has been several years since The Elder Scrolls VI was announced, and since then, we’ve been hankering for more news.
You might have spotted that Bethesda slipped out a cheeky announcement of a silent auction benefitting Make-A-Wish that will see the winner design an NPC for the upcoming game.
It's been seven long years since The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced.
Well, fans over on Reddit were quick to point out that Bethesda has done this before, with Starfield, and the game followed two and a half years later - or at least, it was supposed to prior to a delay.

Therefore, by this metric, The Elder Scrolls VI is two and a half years away, putting it in the 2027 window.
Of course, Bethesda is staying quiet, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t hold back their excitement.
“But… you have to consider that Starfield went through delays towards the end of development due to covid lockdowns. So [TES VI] might be less than two years away,” said one overly eager fan.
They’ve got a point, so we’ll let them cook, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Until Todd strolls out on stage and holds his hand up to a big screen that shows us a more fleshed out trailer, I’m not gonna get my hopes up too high.
Another Redditor, with a spicy name I can’t write here, is keeping expectations lower: “Everything up through the recent Indiana Jones and upcoming Doom games were released with a two-year delay. Still, 2027 wouldn’t be that bad. Would likely end up being a cross-gen release on Series consoles plus the next-gen Xbox.”
It does seem that most are believing that 2027 could be the year, with one fan saying, “TBH I’m expecting winter 2027, and it will launch with the next-gen Xbox,” and another agreeing with, “September 2027 is exactly the time frame I’ve been working with the entire time in my head. So I’m good with that.”
Start getting excited… or don’t. Depends on how much you enjoy being disappointed. You sicko.
