Another month is in full swing and there is still no news of a release date for The Elder Scrolls 6 and now the long wait has got fans questioning their own mortality.
Announced back in 2018 during the E3 event, The Elder Scrolls 6, as you can probably guess, will be the sixth entry in the much-loved The Elder Scrolls series.
Check out the very brief 2018 teaser for The Elder Scrolls VI below!
That means, if you do your maths, it has been six years since it was revealed and other than a teaser trailer, we have received no other news from Bethesda despite it reportedly being in active development.

With fans starting to think getting to play The Elder Scrolls 6 is becoming more of a pipe dream, one player pointed out that The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is closer to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim than The Elder Scrolls 6.
To be more precise, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was released back in 2002 with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim following in 2011 making it a nine-year gap between entries.
However, it has now been a whopping 13-years since we received an entry in The Elder Scrolls series and with no release date in sight, it may be even longer by the time The Elder Scrolls 6 is released.
“How could this even happen? If you told me in 2011 that the next TES game wouldn't come out for another 14-15 years, I'd assume Bethesda was shut down”, one comment read over on r/TESVI.

Another said: “I can’t believe we got and are getting Dragon's Dogma 2, Dead Island 2, a new Half Life game, Skyblivion, a Metal Gear Solid remake before The Elder Scrolls 6”.
Despite Bethesda reportedly prioritising The Elder Scrolls 6 over other sequels such as Fallout 5, it seems as though it is in no rush to release the highly-anticipated sequel.
