Who here likes free games? What a silly question, of course you do, or you wouldn’t have clicked this.
Right now on Steam, gamers can download and keep an excellent turn-based strategy game for free, with no strings attached. The only catch is that you don’t have long to claim it - the offer expires very soon.
If you have an Epic Games Store account, you can also currently grab the fantastic Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition totally free. Take a look at the trailer below.
I’ll not keep you in suspense for any longer - Steam’s big freebie is Proxy Studios’ Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War. Released in 2018, as per the game’s description on Steam, it’s “the first turn-based 4X strategy game set in the Warhammer universe”. Gamers can play as one of four Warhammer factions - all of which have their own play styles.

“Gladius Prime was known to Imperial scholars as a planet of archeological interest. During its colonisation ancient relics were found, revealing hints of a shrouded past,” the game’s synopsis reads. “But it was more than relics. Something awakened, an unspeakable horror from an ancient past, and the citizens of Gladius found themselves trapped in a terrible war for survival. Gladius Prime was once a planet of peace. Now there is only war.”
If you’re intrigued, you’re going to want to log into your Steam account and head over to the game’s store page as soon as possible, because there’s not long before you’ll have to pay actual money for it again. Be sure to hit that big, green ‘add to account’ button before 6PM UK time tomorrow (1 June).
Speaking of Steam, yesterday it was confirmed that the PS5’s greatest exclusive game, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, will be releasing on PC in July, which is seriously exciting. Fingers crossed that it’ll be a little more polished than The Last of Us Part I’s PC port was, though.
