Celebrate a new event with some freebies

As well as offering some incredible underrated titles, Steam is back with some exciting free downloads to grab for a limited time.

We are huge fans of Steam here and for good reason.

Alongside thousands of games to choose from both free and otherwise, it is no wonder that PC gamers are never short of something to play.

These free items celebrate games such as Mortal Kombat 1 seen below!

However, Valve is also giving away some free cosmetics for Steam users over in its Points Shop and they are perfect for those who want to decorate their profile at no extra cost.

Available for a limited time to celebrate the Steam Fighting Fest 2024, players can grab an animated avatar, frame and sticker.

The animated avatar shows two fists engaged in battle (or a very bad fist bump) with a colourful, dynamic background.

The frame shows a health bar commonly found in fighting games and the animated sticker is a colourful “KO” bursting onto the screen.

If you weren’t aware of the Steam Fighting Fest, it is running until 22 July and the event aims to celebrate the upcoming EVO 2024 with big discounts on dozens of fighter games and DLCs.

That means you can buy big titles such as Mortal Kombat 1 and Tekken 8 at a low price as well as check out some more underrated entries such as The King of Fighters 15 and Samurai Shodown.

With almost 50 fighting games receiving a discount during this event, it is the perfect time to grab these animated freebies to help celebrate.

In related news, if you are looking for something to play on Steam but don’t want to spend a penny, you can check out these 8 free RPGs or even a brand-new multiplayer open-world survival game that is steadily climbing through the Steam ranks.
