If there was ever a game that best represented the phrase “indie darling” it would be the game developed by ConcernedApe, none other than Stardew Valley.
Despite being well received by the video game community, I think few could have predicted that this charming indie delight would still be winning our hearts to this very day. Yet here we are, over eight years later still talking about Stardew Valley.
Check out the Stardew Valley trailer below!
Since its launch all those years ago, Stardew Valley has inspired a plethora of other farming sim games such as the recent Fields of Mistria which GAMINGbible’s Emma scored a very worthy 9/10.

In Emma’s review of the new farming sim game developed by NPC Studio, she said: “Let it be said that Fields of Misteria is now the new standard by which I’ll measure every other experience within the genre.”
One of the many joys of Stardew Valley is fishing, which somehow made the most chill game even more chill. With that in mind, Reddit user THAT_GEEKY_GIRL13 just made their own discovery after playing the game for five years.

“Five years and I never knew this... Damn you ConcernedApe,” they exclaimed. An image was shared of THAT_GEEKY_GIRL13’s playable character standing next to a water fountain with no explanation as to what this Redditor was actually referring to.
However, after scrolling through the comments, the discovery made by THAT_GEEKY_GIRL13 was that you can fish in the water fountain of the village. Granted, you might end up catching a snoggy cabbage but you might also nab a few crafting materials.
“Dang I always felt pretty proud that I knew most of the Stardew Valley easter eggs, but this one finally got me! Thanks for sharing,” replied Sanguine_Pineapple with NekoMarimo adding “Now that's a new one!”
Stardew Valley is out now on just about every platform imaginable.
