Star Wars' Kylo Ren returns in new series

Star Wars' Kylo Ren returns in new series

Darth Vader’s simp is back!

Darth Vader’s biggest simp, Kylo Ren is back in a brand new Star Wars series.

Kylo Ren was first introduced as the next big villain in the Star Wars universe in 2015’s Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Whatever we might think of the trilogy that this movie kickstarted, I think most of us can agree that The Force Awakens was fun and Kylo Ren was at least a somewhat interesting character.

As for The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, whenever I’m able to, I like to forget that those movies ever existed, as much as I love Star Wars. Anyway, before I begin to rant, let’s talk of something more positive and it's the return of Kylo Ren.

We don’t know whether we’ll see the return of Kylo Ren in live-action form, however, thanks to traditional novels and comic books, the pages are always left wide open.

That said, Kylo Ren is back in the new comic book series, Star Wars: Legacy of Vader, set between the events of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker.

“After slaying his master, Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo Ren is now the leader of the First Order, but recent events including his murder of his father, defeat at the hands of Luke Skywalker, and a surprising connection with the mysterious Rey force him to reckon with what it truly means to be Vader’s heir,” reads the synopsis of issue one on Marvel.com.

“As he pursues his dark mission to bring order to the galaxy, Kylo’s madness takes him down a deadly path to discover the truth about his grandfather’s life. From Mustafar to Tattooine, these are the thrilling adventures that enabled Kylo to confront his inner turmoil and meet his destiny!”

Written by Charles Soule and artwork by Luke Ross, Star Wars: Legacy of Vader #1 will be available wherever you buy your comic books on 5 February 2025.
