Roll up, roll up. The reviews for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have finally dropped, and to the relief of Star Wars fans everywhere, it sounds like a genuinely fantastic time.
Critics have been scoring the game so highly, in fact, that it’s already one of 2023’s best-rated titles on Metacritic. Considering the excellent releases we’ve had this year so far, including the Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 remakes, and brand new gems like Octopath Traveler II and Tchia, that’s no mean feat.
Take a look at our review for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor right here.
To be exact, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s PS5 version currently has a very positive Metascore of 86 (the Xbox Series X score is, at the time of writing, 87, although that’s based on far fewer reviews, and the PC score is currently sitting at 81). That makes it the seventh-highest-rated PS5 game this year so far, behind Tetris Effect: Connected, Resident Evil 4, Moss: Book II, Dead Space, Rez Infinite and Monster Hunter Rise.

In his review, GAMINGbible’s own Will McCue was full of praise for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, too. He gave it a nine out of 10, and wrote: “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an exceptional sequel, improving on every gripe fans had with Fallen Order while adding countless new features in that’ll keep players engrossed for a long, long time. It’ll take something really special to come out to stop Survivor being the best action/adventure game of 2023.”
How about that? I was incredibly excited for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor the moment that I heard that fast travel had been added, but now the hype is unbearable. Thankfully, there’s not long to wait at all - Cal Kestis’ next adventure will launch tomorrow (28 April) on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
