2022 is looking like it could be a pretty exciting year for Star Wars fans. Earlier this month, multiple industry insiders confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is not only real - but that it's coming this year.
Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb claimed at the start of the year that we'll like see the upcoming sequel in a "significant way" before June. Even better, the wait between reveal and release won't even be that long. Grubb suggested the game will be out before the end of 2022, and now we have some idea of exactly when we can expect it.
Tom Henderson, and industry insider with a stellar track record when it comes to all things Battlefield and EA-related, took to Twitter to reaffirm his earlier claim that Fallen Order 2 will be revealed on May 4. That's Star Wars Day, in case you're too cool to observe such a holiday.
Henderson also suggested that the game will be released in Q4 of this year, which means it's likely to drop anywhere between October and December. The first game released in November, so we wouldn't be surprised to see this second chapter arrive around the same time.
Do take this news with the usual pinch of salt, and try and remember that release plans can change on a dime - especially in this day and age. Developers around the world are still working remotely or otherwise facing unprecedented challenges as a result of the ongoing pandemic, and Fallen Order 2 will hardly have been exempt from the same difficulties as every other game currently in development.
Hopefully we'll find out more about Cal Kestis' next adventure in May! Till then, let's sit tight and start building our dream sequel in our heads, okay? Okay.
