Star Wars fans have done something truly remarkable, created what could very well be considered a brand-new game, within a game.
We haven’t talked about Starfield for a while, mainly because any hype for the game has slowly dissipated ever since the DLC expansion, Shattered Space dropped.
It was a decent DLC to be fair, just a shame the game wasn’t as loved as much as Bethesda probably hoped
Anyway you could consider Galactic Civil War Conversion an expansion in its own right, as it gives Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG a Star Wars makeover.

With Creation Club 2.0 many fans had already introduced mods that brought Star Wars content into the game, like making your character look like a Mandalorian, but this mod goes all-in with that idea.
At the time of writing it turns all of the typical soldiers into stormtroopers, so when you’re causing mischief you’ll be met with an endless barrage of Imperial forces as a response.
The mod’s creator has noted that more content will be added over time, so it’s worth keeping an eye on as it progresses.
If anything it shows us how desperately we need a RPG set in the Star Wars galaxy again, something a bit like Star Wars Outlaws but more open-ended.

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic had that vibe and if that remake is still in development perhaps it’ll expand the game with additional planets and quests to undertake.
What we really need though is a Star Wars game focused on exploring the galaxy, meeting various species, fighting Imperials and pirates and just generally blazing your own trail through its worlds, like Han Solo but your own custom character instead.
Galactic Civil War Conversion in Starfield gives us a taste of what that could look like, so hopefully we see a full game like it one day.
