Coming to all major consoles and PC, Jedi Power Battles lets players take control of iconic characters from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
I’ll admit, I missed this on its original launch, but as a Star Wars fan, I may have to jump in and give it a try.
While it wasn’t originally reviewed particularly well, it certainly found a fanbase and there must be some kind of want for the title to have it enhanced.
Jedi Power Battles is a 3D brawler bursting with action and, as the game’s official blurb notes, “You will have the power of the Force and your trusty lightsaber to help you ward off legions of battle droids, destroyer droids, assassins, and other creatures from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”

All the fan-favourite characters are here and even some that aren’t loved as much. Fans can expect to play as “Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, or Qui-Gon Jinn.”
As you’ll be able to see from the trailer, the game’s visuals have been sharpened up and look pretty sweet considering the age of the game and engine running underneath.
While the rerelease might not set the world alight, it’s nice to see such retro gems get a second lease of life and Disney are certainly leading the way by reinvigorating older Star Wars titles.
You can jump in for a brand-new couch co-op mode next year when the game lands.
