Skyrim: Legacy Of The Dragonborn is basically a whole new game

Another mod, another hundred hours in Skyrim

Is there ever such a thing as too much Skyrim? The answer is no. That’s why this mod is so darn popular, because it takes Skyrim and just does more of it.

Legacy of the Dragonborn is so large that it feels like a whole new game. Just one glance at the Nexusmods page will attest to that. There’s not only an entirely new story, but even a new guild that you get to start and build from the ground up. To show how popular the mod is, you only need to look at the notes tab and see over 41K discussion points.

Skyrim is still one of the best RPGs ever made and gets better with mods

In order to highlight everything this mod has to offer we’d need thousands of words, so let’s stick to the most important aspects. There’s a brand-new story featuring lots of quests and plot points. Thousands of new items have been added to the game for you to loot, utilise, and interact with, many of which are part of the ongoing story.

A fully equipped player home allows you to put down roots and take advantage of several new crafting stations; there’s even a hidden treasury for you to store all those cheese wheels you keep stealing. What would a Skyrim mod be without relics? There are hundreds of new relics, many of which can be found via the new archeology skill and dig up special areas of the world.

All of this goes towards building up the museum - the Dragonborn Gallery - which will hold a copy of everything you find, giving you a whole new quest of finding and displaying everything. There’s so much to do here that your original save file will pale in comparison to what you’ll total up here. Get ready for a brand-new obsession and prepare to lose many, many hours all over again.
