Can you believe that it’s been six long years since The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced?
And what do we have to show for it? Well, nothing.
The Elder Scrolls VI is deep in development but nothing has surfaced publicly other than the mention that a playable build is available internally.

Let’s not forget that many developers at Bethesda will also still be supporting Starfield.
The game has released a number of hefty updates in recent months, leading up to the launch of Starfield's first story expansion, Shattered Space, set to launch later this month.
Alongside this though, The Elder Scrolls VI is being beavered away on in the background, but we likely still have several years of waiting ahead of us.
You know what I’m going to say though … Skyrim is always there to welcome us in the meantime.

In case you haven’t yet checked out the major upcoming Skywind expansion, I highly urge you to do as it looks positively spectacular.
That too though is still a while away from release, so allow me to fill you in on a fun little tidbit brought to light by a player.
ICYMI: Take a look at the upcoming Shattered Space in action below.
The discovery concerns an alternate ending, cue curious ‘ooo’ noises.

Reddit user Fizzet713 was the individual to make the discovery, writing, “After almost 1000 hours, I just found out that you can get a new Gildergreen sapling and you can save everyone in the Eldergleam sanctuary by just talking to Maurice and following his lead. How cool is this?”
As it turns out, plenty of other people also didn’t know this was possible.
If you want to try and enact this yourself, Gotis1313 adds, “If you don't have a follower, he will approach you in the temple. It's best to discover the Gildergreen first then fast travel with him cause he likes to die a lot.”
“I had no idea you could do this. I kept trying to slow time and save the people in the sanctuary. They just kept dying, and I got bored of reloading. I'm gonna try this next time,” said a thankful Shalash-Elin.

Yes, I also see the comments section swimming with naysayers, jesting about the sharing of such tips.
There’s no harm in sharing a fun discovery. We’re all at different points in our Skyrim journeys, with many players still seeking out such information.
If that’s you, you might want to give this find a go on your next playthrough.
