If there’s two things that the internet loves, it’s Stranger Things and Brendan Fraser. The former has been taking the world by storm with its explosive fourth season, with its final two episodes set to hit our screens on 1 July. I don’t think any of us are mentally prepared for that.
Then we have Brendan Fraser, the internet’s sweetheart. The Mummy and George of the Jungle star is not only just an on-screen legend, but an overall lovely guy - if you know anyone who doesn’t like this man, I’d say you have reasonable grounds not to trust them. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that he has many fans even in his fellow costars, including Stranger Things star Sadie Sink.

Sink, of course, is perhaps best known for her role as Max Mayfield in the Netflix spookfest, but she’s also been cast as Ellie in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming psychological drama movie The Whale, alongside Fraser. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she spoke about her experience working on the project, as well as how she feels about Fraser himself. Spoiler alert, she loves him, obviously.

“I don’t think I’d ever done a project that had that much character work,” she said. “Darren Aronofsky is obviously brilliant, and working with him was a really formative experience, and Brendan is so incredible in it, and also just probably my favourite human on the planet. It was so amazing having that experience with him. I learned a lot about myself as an actress, and tapped into a side of things that I hadn’t really explored before.”
I mean, how can you not adore this man? Earlier this year, a clip of the actor went viral when he got emotional after being told just how much his fans love and support him - it’s the most wholesome thing. Someone, please give him a hug.
