The rumoured Red Dead Redemption remake looks set to launch without one of the original game's best features, which is a damn shame.
As I'm sure you've heard by now, a Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster is apparently in development. But while fans debate whether or not to pre-order a game that may or not may exist, one insider has suggested that the Red Dead Redemption remake will launch without multiplayer.

Now, I concede that when most of you think about Red Dead Redemption you're probably remembering the incredible open world and single-player story. But the original had a brilliant multiplayer that, quite frankly, puts Red Dead Online to shame.
Red Dead Redemption's original multiplayer had all kinds of fun game modes ranging from co-op to full-on PVP. Given the existence of Red Dead Online I guess it's not all that surprising that Rockstar would elect to exclude the older multiplayer. I also imagine remaking a whole-ass series of multiplayer modes alongside a massive single-player story would be a lot of work for a company that's also trying to release GTA 6 at some point this century, so I'm not holding it against them.
The good news? The same source suggests that the remake will come packaged with the Undead Nightmare DLC, also widely regarded as one of the greatest video game expansions of all time. And really, if we have to choose between multiplayer and Undead Nightmare? Well, the zombies win every damn time.
