The superb actor behind the incredible character of John Marston, Rob Wiethoff, has said some things that might just be teasing Red Dead Redemption 3.
And if he’s not, his speculations sound great and could definitely provide a basis for the new game, whenever Rockstar Games gets around to it.
You should all be getting excited for Exodus as it's shaping up incredibly well.
The video, which can be found on Reddit, heats up around the five-minute mark, where Wiethoff drops several interesting points about the third entry in the Red Dead Redemption series.

“If they did another prequel...” Wiethoff says. This comes after saying that Rockstar Games commented that the second game was the “end of an era.”
If they did, Wiethoff guesses that “if you went past that [era], it would get way more modern and it wouldn’t be a Western anymore”.
So, how would Rockstar Games combat this? Because the fans love the Western setting of these games.
According to Wiethoff, “It would change into a different genre … but I think if they did another prequel, it would be really, really cool.”

Of course, the actor’s comments don’t mean much because they aren’t official, but if there’s a future for the franchise, you can bet some early conversations will have happened.
A comment from Sudden-Ad-1217 says, “Red Dead 3 in some form is happening because you can tell he's recalling conversations and filtering what he can say.”
That could very well be the case. It’s worth watching the whole clip because Weithoff says some interesting things throughout.
Reddit is, of course, very excited regardless. Another Redditor believes they’ve already worked out the plot, “The [third] game is going to be another prequel. We’re going to be going back to around the time period when Dutch and O’Driscoll brothers used to run together and then becoming mortal enemies.”

The hope is there and the comments Rob made seem to point to something as Anniebanani39 believes, “It seems he knows something. I don’t think he is apart of it as the John we know.”
