Goodness me. I’ve seen many, many things in Red Dead Redemption 2, but never have I seen a naked NPC sprinting through the forest. I have so many questions.
Isn’t it magical that five years after release, we’re still discovering new things in Red Dead Redemption 2? Not that I’d describe this particular encounter as magical though. It just shows the immense amount of effort that Rockstar Games put into crafting one of the most immersive RPGs of all-time. During yesterday’s Microsoft leak, it was revealed that at one point in time, Rockstar was working on a new-gen version of the game - although it’s not known if that project has since been cancelled or is still in the works. For the time being, we’ll have to keep enjoying the original - which is exactly what one player was doing when they stumbled across this NSFW NPC.

As reported by GGRecon, Reddit user Relevant-Break-5820 had quite the in-game shock. The player was simply travelling via horseback when a naked NPC could be seen sprinting across the screen. Relevant-Break-5820 took to the site to ask, “Is this random sprinting nude man important?” I too have questions. Why is he naked? Who is he running away from? What happened to this guy?
Wilsonthechat joked, “Holy f**k, is that Gavin?” while frankenmullett22 added, “You should follow him and see.” That’s quite an ominous suggestion I’m not sure I’d want to follow up on. Thankfully, we do have an explanation. It’s likely that this is a sighting of the game’s ‘feral wolf man’ for lack of a better name.
According to the game’s lore, the fella joined a pack of wolf pups after his father sent him out hunting, deciding that he’d rather join the animals than wound them. You can see him running and howling in Roanoke Ridge - and even track him back to his cave. Beware though, he may set his wolves upon you.
