Oh, you don’t have to dismount to do this – you can remain in the saddle and brush that glorious mane.

The Redditor who shared this revelation with fans said it took them “100+ hours” of playing before figuring out they could do this.
Another helpful piece of information they discovered after “many hundreds of hours more”, is that you can choose which side of your horse you dismount from.
If you don’t laugh about this you’ll cry.
In all honesty, neither of these two functions are crucial for you to know when travelling across the map.

That said, they make life a little easier for Arthur, which is kind of the point.
We’re not alone in getting our minds blown, either; fellow Redditor Vonbacon1 was also surprised by these hidden in-game features.
