Despite being in the company of that goliath Grand Theft Auto series, the Red Dead Redemption series from Rockstar Games also stands out as one of the best properties in the video game industry.
The series began with the linear Red Dead Revolver in 2004 for the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox. Don’t get me wrong, this game was a lot of fun but it's fair to say that the series reached new heights with the release of the open-world Red Dead Redemption in 2010.

When Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then later for PC, the sequel had improved on its predecessor in almost every way. It had a much larger and more dense open world, a lengthier campaign, more side activities, the graphics were better and much more.

However, you’d think by now that approaching six years after its initial release, most players would have discovered all there is in Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2. Well, you’re wrong, as discovered by a Redditor recently.
“I did not think that this could happen,” said Reddit user Technical-Text-2236 sharing a clip of a horse being shot. After the horse is shot (for some reason), the horse falls to the ground and dies. To be fair to the Reddit user who posted the clip, they did reply to a comment to say that the horse was shot accidentally (apparently). The thread was still full of shocked comments haunted by the horse being shot dead, and I don't blame them.

Yet, when the horse fell to the ground to die, the NPC that was on top of the horse got trapped underneath which he struggled to break free and then he died too. Lovely. It’s certainly a small detail, but one that I have never seen before in Red Dead Redemption 2, and by the looks of things, neither has much of the Reddit thread either.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
