Rockstar has produced some stellar games over the years. Banger after banger, you might say.

Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are just two of the most recent examples.

What these titles have in common is that they both comfortably sit amongst the greatest games of all-time.

So too is there a stark difference though and no, smart arse, I don’t mean their varying settings.

GTA V’s GTA Online continues to be substantially supported whereas Red Dead Redemption 2’s Red Dead Online has somewhat fallen off the bandwagon.

It was two years ago that Rockstar first admitted that it was essentially done with Red Dead Online, instead shifting developers over to assist on GTA VI.

What this means is that the game no longer receives hefty content updates.

It is still supported but we’re talking at a barebones level. Players benefit from the occasional cosmetic and XP boost but that’s basically the extent of it.

Even still, you should never look a gift horse in the mouth - and the latest Red Dead Online update has now landed.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails from over the years below.

Regular players will know that catching three bounties a month results in a cosmetic gift. Well, the latest gift has arrived.

If you catch those bounties between now and 30 September, you’ll be rewarded with a ‘brown Boutell Hat’.

It’s not an enormous pile of gold, but it’ll be a nice dandy addition to your outfit.

Rewards will be delivered within 72 hours of completing your bounties.

We don’t yet know what next week will bring us as this latest bounty mission will take us to the end of September’s content.

In early October, the latest update for Red Dead Online will be unveiled including information on the latest bounty missions, RDO$ and XP boosts, and community-inspired outfits.

Of course, when that information becomes available, we’ll be sure to fill you in.
