Alongside the Grand Theft Auto series, its Wild West offering is one of Rockstar Games’ crown jewels. What started as a linear series in 2004 with Red Dead Revolver, it later expanded into a huge open world with 2010’s Red Dead Redemption starring the charming but ruthless John Marston.

In 2018, we were treated to the prequel that arguably surpassed its predecessor in almost every way with Red Dead Redemption 2 featuring Arthur Morgan, the right-hand man to Dutch van der Linde, a ruthless gang leader on the run from the law.

Taking inspiration from the online offerings of the GTA series, Red Dead Online arrived in 2019 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Fun fact, the original RDO is still online today with the Xbox 360 version of the game and it’s backwards compatible with modern Xbox consoles.
Red Dead Online of 2010 is a fun relic of the past that brings back nostalgic memories of being betrayed by my friends the moment my back was turned. Good times.
Though to be fair, not much has changed in today’s Red Dead Online because not only will you be betrayed by your friends, but you’re more than likely to have your loot mugged by even more players across the world.
Thankfully, you will retain most of your loot in the likely event of being mugged in Red Dead Online including the free DLC that is available now with the ‘Trader Bonuses’ event.

‘Trader Bonuses’ gifts players with free DLC with its weekly and monthly rewards whether you drop into Red Dead Online to see what’s going on or partake in its campaigns. What’s more, you will also be rewarded with bonus XP and in-game currency.

Just by logging into Red Dead Online during the ‘Trader Bonuses’ event, you’ll receive 20 Small Game Arrows and three Potent Miracle Tonics until 2 December 2024.
Moreover, if you achieve the ‘Plentiful Material’ status in your trader camp, you will be gifted with a free Fake Beard and by crafting an item at your campfire, you’ll receive the Goldwing Spurs.
However, that is not all, because if you rank up five times or reach rank 20 as a Trader between now and 2 December, you’ll receive the Amador Hat. But be quick, because after 24 hours, this free content will not be available.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
