Alongside the goliath that is the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar Games’ other big baby is Red Dead Redemption and you can claim freebies with its Wild West outing but you need to act fast.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and while Rockstar Games seems reluctant to release a new-gen port or update anytime soon, this game is still every bit as immersive and stunning as it was six years ago.

Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most financially lucrative video games of all time, in large part due to its GTA Online offering. Rockstar Games hoped to replicate the success of GTA Online with Red Dead Online but the Wild West version failed to get close to the same ballpark as its counterpart.

That being said, the failure of Red Dead Online wasn't helped by the fact that Rockstar Games had given up supporting the game with expansion-sized updates as seen with GTA Online, which is a shame, because this game had so much potential.
However, there is still plenty of fun to be had in Red Dead Online, but it might be wise to lower expectations and not expect something to the scale of GTA Online. Yet, that’s not to say that Red Dead Online isn't supported with content updates, because it most certainly is.
This month, Rockstar Games launched the ‘Collector Bonuses’ event for Red Dead Online which not only rewards players with a bonus of 3x XP, but there is also free DLC and discounts on in-game items.
By completing the objectives in the event, you will not only receive a 40% discount off an ‘Established on Distinguished Collector Role Item’ (until 12 August) but also a Bluewater Marsh Treasure Map (from 13 August to 19 August), a Black Gat Hat (from 20 August to 26 August) and finally, a light grey Carbow Double Bandolier (from 27 August to 2 September).

What’s more, by completing the Collector Daily Challenges for three days in a row, you’ll be gifted with a black Macbay Jacket in addition to an American Wild Flowers Collector’s Map for digging up a Fossil before 2 September 2024.
