It’s another day of radio silence from Rockstar. In case you missed it, it looks as if a remake of Red Dead Redemption is set to be announced this month. It remains unconfirmed by Rockstar though, despite the plethora of evidence.

It all began when the South Korean ratings board listed a brand new version of the game on their site last month. Listed on 15 June, the new entry sits separately to the original 2010 version. Then, one week ago, a new logo appeared in the backend of Rockstar’s own website, seemingly confirming the title to be Rockstar Games Presents Red Dead Redemption. It looks as if it’ll be a remake, not a remaster, which is what I think the vast majority of us were hoping for. There’s even rumours that the game could come to Switch. In the meantime though, fans are remencising about just how incredible Red Dead Redemption 2’s ending is.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

It goes without saying, spoilers lie ahead. As a reminder, the last mission sees Arthur meet his untimely end, but not before he teams up with Sadie. There’s a big showdown with traitor Micah, and John’s whopping $20K robbery which leads us nicely into the events of the original Red Dead Redemption. All in all, it’s a pretty eventful ending that unfolds over several hours.

Over on Reddit, fans discussed the best gaming endings of all time and Red Dead Redemption 2 popped up a lot. “RDR2 when you have the shootout from the outbuilding. The mission is full of great dialogue followed by a great shootout,” said zonda97, while Ok-Interaction-8805 added, “The final mission of Red Dead Redemption 2 is the peak of video storytelling.” MadTeaCup_YT commented, “The final mission of chapter six hit me like a freight train, f**king amazing.”

Plenty of other games were mentioned too. The Last of Us Part I and Ghost of Tsushima particularly cropped up a lot. What’s your favourite final mission?
