Throughout this year’s not E-3, Nintendo largely kept eerily quiet. In recent weeks, they offered updates on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 but it’s been quite some time since Nintendo held a full-scale Nintendo Direct.
For quite a while now, rumours have been swirling suggesting that a Nintendo Direct is coming this month. Nothing has yet been confirmed by Nintendo but insiders believe the showcase will focus on third-party games, and recent rumours suggest that Red Dead Redemption 2 could finally be making its Nintendo Switch debut.

Earlier this week, industry insider and journalist Nacho Requena suggested during a live stream that Nintendo’s rumoured third-party showcase will feature a ported game that’s four years old. Requena said, “I've also been told there will be another game that has been available for some time on other platforms… it's been available for four years now."

Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released back in 2018 which you can quite obviously see, makes it four years old. Very interesting indeed.
This isn’t the first time Red Dead Redemption 2 has been rumoured as a Switch port. As reported by comicbook.com, journalist Stephen Totilo previously unveiled that he understood that a Switch port of Red Dead Redemption 2 was in the works alongside the creation of Grand Theft Auto: The Definitive Trilogy. At the time, The Definitive Trilogy hadn’t been announced so Totilo must have credible sources. Either way, we’ll have to take this with a pinch of salt and wait for Nintendo to make an official announcement.
