This is a public service announcement - if you own a PS5 and haven’t already grabbed this selection of free games, you have just under three weeks to do so. Seriously, you’ll definitely want to get in on this.
As we all know, each month, those subscribed to PlayStation Plus will be given a handful of free games which they’re able to claim, keep, and play any time they like as long as they’re still subscribed. Those subscribed to the slightly pricier tiers, Extra and Premium, also get access to a library of PS4 and PS5 games, as well as classic retro titles (exclusive to Premium), although when Sony decides to remove titles from those selections, they’re no longer playable for anyone who had them downloaded via the service.
One of best games on PS Plus Extra right now is Tchia - take a look at the trailer below.
However, as many will already be aware, PS5 owners specifically have also had access to an additional PS Plus perk since the new-gen console’s launch. I’m of course talking about the PlayStation Plus Collection - a lineup of must-play PS4 games which, once claimed, can be downloaded and played any time with an active subscription, just like any other Essential-tier game.

The 19 games included in this collection are: Batman: Arkham Knight, Battlefield 1, Bloodborne, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, Days Gone, Detroit: Become Human, Fallout 4, Final Fantasy XV, God of War, Infamous Second Son, Monster Hunter World, Mortal Kombat X, Ratchet and Clank, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Until Dawn. The excellent Persona 5 also used to be included in the collection, but it was removed last year, and the rest are set to follow next month.
You can claim these games with any PS Plus subscription, even an Essential-tier membership, and as Tom’s Guide reports, you can still play them any time after the offer expires as long as you’re subscribed. Even if you don’t normally pay for the service, it’s well worth buying a single month just so that you can grab these (assuming that you’ve not played them all already, of course).
Again, subscribers have until 9 May before the offer disappears forever - don’t miss out.
