Are you ready for Starfield? Emotionally, I’m sure the answer is yes, but if you don’t already have a decent PC or an Xbox Series X/S to hand, you probably ought to think about sorting that out sooner rather than later if you want to play it on release day. Unless you want to stream it via the cloud on another device, of course.
Unfortunately, for those who haven’t already bought an Xbox Series X, this month, they permanently became more expensive for customers in the UK and most European countries. To be exact, they now cost £479.99 in the UK (up from £449.99), while in the majority of Europe, they’ve risen from €499.99 to €549.99. This basically matches the price hike that both the Digital and Disc Edition PS5 consoles received last year, so now all new-gen consoles are even more pricey than before.

Meanwhile in the U.S., Xbox Series X consoles haven’t currently risen in price, and to boot, U.S. customers can currently cash in on an incredible deal on the Dell website to grab one of the chunky new-gen consoles super cheap. Lucky ducks. As reported by TechRadar Gaming, the temporary deal knocks a whopping $50 off the console, making it cost $449.99 as opposed to $499.99. It’s still not the cheapest thing in the world, admittedly, but it’s probably the best deal we’re going to see on the Series X for a while given that Starfield is right around the corner. You can find the deal here - at the time of writing, it's "temporarily out of stock", but be sure to keep an eye on it.

In case you needed a reminder, Starfield is less than a month away, which is ridiculously exciting. Early access will kick off on 1 September, but only for those who are willing to pay for the pricey Constellation or Premium Edition (or the Premium Edition Upgrade, if you've already bought the Standard Edition). Everyone else can dive in on 6 September.
