Xbox quietly drops free game you can grab now

Ooh, a little freebie for me?

Want a free game for your Xbox? Of course, you do, you’re not silly, you’re the sharpest in the tool box, you are.

Who would pass up a free game? Especially when Microsoft is just giving it to you, it’s like it’s Christmas, or something.

Look at these men shooting things! That's Battlefield 1, that is

Here’s how you do it - it’s really simple. Just be an EAPlay member or a member of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and you can redeem a copy of Battlefield 1 Revolution directly into your library. To keep. Forever.

Ain’t that nice? I’ll be grabbing a copy of this because I’ve not played this iteration of Battlefield, and it would be nice to have another game on the old backlog, it’s not quite struggling under the weight of itself enough yet.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one, and as someone who bounced off the new Call of Duty, it would be good to have a shooter to dip into now and again.

Let’s see what people think about this deal over on Twitter, that’ll be fun.

“But is it dead on Xbox,” says one user. That’s okay, I’m sure it being free will give it a bump in player count.

“Girl power Battlefield boys, go get some,” says another. I love seeing this form of female empowerment and the permission for boys to slay.

Thankfully, there are plenty of people saying it’s “peak” or that it’s “The last good BF game.”

That’s good enough for me, random people on the internet!

There’s a rumour going around that this isn’t the only freebie coming from EA, so keep your eyes peeled for more free games.

Free is always good, because who can really afford games in this economy, eh? I’ve already got 63 battle passes on the go, I can’t afford anything else.
