Starfield has a horrifying alien monster to rival Fallout's Deathclaws

Starfield has a horrifying alien monster, the Ashta, that will rival Fallout's Deathclaws.

In one month, some of you will be enjoying Starfield via early access. That’s a very exciting thought indeed.

The game is set to release on 6 September, with early access opening up five days earlier for those that purchased any of the deluxe versions of the game. I have a sneaky feeling that Starfield is going to keep us busy for the remainder of the year. Not ideal when we also have Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Mortal Kombat 1, Alan Wake 2, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage also all releasing. RIP to my backlog. As I’m sure you’re aware, Starfield will feature over 1,000 explorable planets and an ‘astonishing’ number of side quests. There are various factions and branching paths - and that’s not to even mention that a DLC expansion is already planned. The latest discovery made pertains to the fact that Starfield will seemingly feature a terrifying alien that’ll rival Fallout’s Deathclaws.

Take a look at the latest trailer for Starfield below.

Over on Twitter, the official Starfield account posted a new screenshot of the game, accompanied by the caption, “Those who venture beyond the walls of Akila City do so at their own peril. There, you'll encounter the deadly Ashta.” I sure wouldn’t like to stumble across an Ashta, but I somehow fear I will eventually. Many have already been referring to it as the ‘space rhino’ but it’s apparently a cross between a wolf and a velociraptor.

One Twitter user wrote, “I can’t wait to encounter this space rhino! I will admire it, and then ravage its body for resources.” Dark, but I get what you’re saying. Another asked, “Can we pet it?” An important question but I’m going to guess that the answer is no.

If you’re a Fallout fan, you’ll know all about Deathclaws. An equally terrifying creature that is no fun at all to stumble across. I expect Starfield’s Ashta’s will have us running for the safety that Akila City’s walls bring.
