Starfield early access has officially commenced. After years of waiting, Starfield fans are finally able to dive into Bethesda’s epic new space RPG.
While Starfield’s Metacritic score was marginally lower than some were expecting, it’s undeniably a fantastic game. I had the pleasure of reviewing it here at GAMINGbible, giving it a perfect score of 10. Our review reads, “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of. Starfield is that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be. Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.” Players across the world are now diving into the game for themselves, including one who’s received a ton of support after sharing that Starfield has helped them start their journey to sobriety.
Take a look at our video review of Starfield below.
Reddit user LexB777 wrote, “Starfield is why I decided to get sober, and today is 31 days without a drink. While I was as drunk as usual on 23 July, I realised that I'd be too drunk or too deep into withdrawals to enjoy Starfield if I didn't stop drinking a litre of gin everyday. I know that a video game is a dumb reason to get sober, but making the decision to get sober for Starfield is what snapped me out of my cycle and helped me see all of the more important reasons I needed to change, of which there are plenty.”

He continued, “Just now, I was getting my PC, TV, and speakers all dialled in, snacks ready, coffee made, and realised that I'm about to be able to play Starfield in the exact way I'd hoped I'd be able to when I made the decision to get sober five and half weeks ago. I'm alert, energetic, not stressed, and I'm hopeful for the future for the first time in over five years. Can't wait to travel into the Starfield and talk about it with all of you.” Doesn’t that put a huge smile on your face?
The post has over 5,000 upvotes. “Congrats dude, I just passed five months myself, keep up the good work,” read one comment. “That’s awesome dude!!! Proud of you for staying sober, keep it going, you got this! We’re almost ready for take off,” read another. See, this is what gaming is all about. Bringing people together.
