The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was practically made for Unreal Engine 5, and is begging for a full remake.
While The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is still very much Bethesda’s golden child, the re-releases speak for themselves, there’s an inescapable charm behind The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind that keeps gamers coming back years later.

It’s definitely dated when it comes to graphics, but the gameplay still holds up remarkably well, and it arguably has the best magic system in the whole series. You also can’t deny the outstanding quests, even if some of the dialogue is hilariously janky.

All in all, it’s a phenomenal game, and many consider it to be the sole reason Bethesda became the enormous studio it is today, as it was very much a hail-mary project that saved it from bankruptcy. For that reason alone it deserves to be preserved and remembered for as long as possible.
Luckily, fans agree and have devoted hours to remaking and remastering the game in a variety of different ways, with the most impressive being an Unreal Engine 5 remake that looks like it could be released on new-gen platforms and high-end PCs.
The remake showcase was shared on YouTube by Mica Olsson, and takes a camera through one of the in-game locations, Seyda Neen, which has been gloriously updated with near photorealistic graphics.
It looks so good that you could almost mistake it for The Elder Scrolls VI, which is expected to be revolutionary in terms of graphical fidelity.

If Bethesda ever plan to remake some of their older titles, then they need to take notes from fan-made projects like these, or go a step further and hire the talented people who make them.
