The Elder Scrolls 6 trailer tease finally surfaces, but it's dividing fans

Fans are fed up with the radio silence

It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since Bethesda first announced The Elder Scrolls VI alongside a very short teaser trailer.

Since then, Bethesda has remained radio silent when it comes to the next instalment in The Elder Scrolls franchise which has led fans to worry that The Elder Scrolls VI may never actually be released.

Of course, the studio is also currently working on development for another huge RPG in the shape of Fallout 5 but fans are hoping that at least another trailer is on the horizon for TES VI.

Well, their wishes may soon come true as a recent comment by YouTuber Jez Corden hints at the next trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI.

Speaking on the Xbox Two Podcast, Corden reveals that there was speculation about an Elder Scrolls VI trailer being shown at this month's previous Xbox Showcase event.

He revealed that he had “good reason to suspect” that this was true after hearing that an internal trailer for the game had been circulating at Microsoft.

Corden has previously spoken about this rumour, stating that there “could” be a trailer ready to launch. However, this is the first time that he has “confirmed” this rumour to be true; of course, this should all be taken with a pinch of salt.

Clearly, nothing actually came to light, but if there is a trailer ready to be shown, it leads you to wonder where it may surface.

News of this potential trailer broke over on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours and fans were not shy about sharing their thoughts in the comments.

“This isn’t really a leak or anything noteworthy,” the top comment reads.

“It’s pretty common for devs to make mock-trailers as development is on-going to showcase graphics, new features, the vibe of the game etc etc. I imagine we’ll probably see the ACTUAL reveal for Elder Scrolls VI sometime next year.”

User DuskyDawn7 added, “I won’t believe TES VI is real until it’s in my hand, on my PS5.”

However, user Hovi_Bryant is feeling more optimistic.

“I believe it,” they shared. “Given the court document depicting a general roadmap for Bethesda releases, it's mostly accurate if offset by a couple of years. It's not hard to believe TES VI is at a stage of development where more than just a vertical slice exists at this point.”

It remains to be seen if Jez Corden’s rumour is correct but unfortunately, only time will tell.
