It’s been 18 years since a TimeSplitters game graced our consoles with single and multiplayer fun, and fans are demanding more.
If you’ve one of the unlucky few to have never seen a TimeSplitters game before, you’re missing out. Many would consider the series to be a spiritual success to GoldenEye 007, which combined a phenomenal single-player campaign with chaotic multiplayer matches.
Speaking of multiplayer chaos, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III has been officially announced, check it out below
The first game in the series, TimeSplitters, launched in 2000 for the original Xbox PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. With a varied selection of weapons, creative characters and a soundtrack to die for, it quickly became a hit amongst fans.

Reviews were overwhelmingly positive too, leading to two sequels, TimeSplitters 2 and the topic of today’s discussion, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.
While many prefer the arcade fun of TimeSplitters 2, many believe Future Perfect to be the better overall game, especially its single-player campaign, which is often regarded as the best in the series.
All titles eventually made their way onto current-gen platforms via backwards compatibility, bringing smoother visuals and an updated framerate, though fans want something bigger, a full-on remake.
Reddit user GrimGhost007 created a post about the game, talking about how good it’d be to see a remake of the “gem”.

Many agreed, recalling fond memories of playing it on the original hardware, as well as revisiting it with the modern ports.
“I played this last year on my Xbox Series X. The backwards compatibility automatically upscales it to 4k 60fps, and it looks great. Doesn't even really need a remake, just needs a proper re-release on PlayStation.”
“I'm so glad people remember this iconic game. I literally thought it was just me lol”
“This game was good, I preferred ‘Time Splitters 2’ though”

I think we can all agree a new, or remade TimeSplitters game would be right at home on current-gen platforms, and we might be in luck, as development on a revival was teased a few years ago, though we unfortunately haven’t heard anything since.
