One of Steam’s most popular games, and arguably the best farming sim in existence, has gotten an enormous update with loads of new content.
The delightful farming sim Stardew Valley ages like a fine wine, often regarded as one of the best games ever made, with each new update making the game better and better with extra features, new content and much, much more.
Take a look at Stardew Valley below
In case you’ve never played, and you absolutely should, it’s a lovely game about ditching your 9-5 job and moving to a farm left to you by one of your departed family members. You transform your land and new home however you see fit, visit the local town and make friends with its denizens, and explore the countryside which is full of secrets and strange creatures/occurrences.

The latest update, Stardew Valley 1.6, was initially described as "mostly changes for modders (which will make it easier & more powerful to mod)" by the game’s creator, Eric Barone.
To no surprise, this was selling the update short, as he’s actually brought way more to the game than greater accessibility for modders. It’s actually added 8-player multiplayer support, over 100 lines of new dialogue for certain characters, as well as three festivals.
It’s also added new winter clothes for the Stardew Valley NPCs, some more items/crafting recipes, and a new type of farm, as well as fleshing out the end-game with more quests and content.
The big change is obviously the 8-player multiplayer, though it’s only available on the PC version of the game via Steam, meaning fans on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch will be stuck with the usual 4-player co-op for the time being.

Barone also hinted that the more capitalistic portion of the game, JojoMart, will also be getting a bit of an overhaul, after tweeting out a picture of a JojoMart gold parrot.
A release date for the Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update is yet to be shared, but it’s expected to drop very soon, possibly in the next few weeks.
