A brand new game has just dropped on Steam that fully showcases the brilliance of Unreal Engine 5 by giving you a sandbox to play in and watch as chaos ensues. Your mind will be blown watching some of the features that Unreal Engine 5 can give developers, from a properly swirling smoke, to gorgeous flowing liquids.
Created by Jilted Generation Productions, Unreal Physics is a free game available through Steam and it’s an ability to see some wonderful experiments and showcases. You have to try it. The game is a mix of two very cool systems - FluidNinja and Chaos - both of which allow for more realistic simulations within games and animation.
Unreal Engine 5 tech demos will blow your mind
FluidNinja does what its name suggests and focuses on fluids, whether that’s water or even lava. It allows fluids to be tracked and pathed more naturally producing a very realistic effect to impress everyone.

Chaos is a little different and centres on things breaking. So, imagine an explosion tearing apart concrete; Chaos ensures the material crumbles in the right way and shatters into pieces as it would in the real world.
Unreal Physics bundles together a few different demos for you to try. One moment you’ll be blowing up structures, the next you can see smoke funneling into an area and billowing out. It’s not only a great way to see how Unreal Engine 5 works, but you can also show off your PC a little by putting it through its paces here.
These kinds of interactive tech demos used to be very popular back in the early days of consoles as developers had to show what 3D models could produce while we moved from mostly 2D games. It’s great to see these kinds of things coming out now, when graphics improvements are incremental and we’ll see more movement in physics and lighting.
