I will take that fancy new badge

One semi-hidden feature of Steam is having the ability to earn XP, which in turn, can allow you to level up your account and unlock more benefits.

However, not a lot of people know about it and that is understandable because I hadn’t noticed it until recently either.

On the topic of Steam, this Stardew Valley-esque game is heading to PC soon!

For example, levelling up your Steam account five times will unlock five more friend slots so if you just happen to be very popular on the Valve storefront, then this will definitely be beneficial for you.

To level up, you will have to earn XP and that can be achieved through playing games, crafting badges, participating in events and just interacting with Steam as a whole.

However, to celebrate the end of another year, Steam has released its annual Replay.

Much like Spotify Wrapped, the Replay gives you all of your stats for the year, including your most-played games, sessions played and achievements earned.

Not only that but scrolling through your personal Replay can see you earn a Replay 2024 Badge that can be displayed on your Steam profile.

So as well as getting to customise your account a little bit more, you can also earn 50xp to boost those levels up.

You can check to see if you are eligible for the badge as well as unlocking your Replay.

As you can expect, PC gamers took to r/FreeGameFindings to share their 2024 statistics and it seems as though many of us were sinking in the hours this past year.

“You unlocked: 986 achievements. Steam median: 13.

Maybe I should go outside.,” user bonesnaps shared.

Arale-kouhai added, “Damn, I only have a 163 day streak. Better make sure to get the 365 next year.”

Of course there is no competition but it is always interesting to look back at your gaming year and get something free in exchange.
